Cookie Policy

This document contains information about the technological tools of the website [-] (hereinafter also the “Site”), which allow the pursuit of the purposes described below based on the principle of transparency and the elements required by art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR” or “Regulation”).

1. Definition and types of cookies

Cookies are text strings consisting of portions of code sent from a web server (for example a website) to a browser and installed within it. They can be used by websites to make the user's browsing experience more efficient.

The following categories of cookies can be distinguished:

  • Session or permanent cookies: session cookies allow websites to link user actions during the browser session, at the end of which the cookies expire; permanent cookies are stored on the user's device between browser sessions and allow the user's preferences or actions to be stored with respect to a website.
  • Analysis and performance cookies: these are cookies used to collect and analyze traffic and site usage anonymously. These cookies allow us to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.

For these reasons, the installation of this type of cookie does not require prior consent from the user (cf. ”Cookie guidelines and other tracking tools” published by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data on 10 June 2021).

  • Profiling cookies: these are cookies that allow you to select advertising based on what is relevant to the user, to improve reports on the performance of advertising campaigns and to personalize exposure to ads. For this type of cookie, an explicit consent is required.
  • First-party or third-party cookies: first-party cookies are those set and/or managed by the owner of the website; third-party cookies are those set and/or managed by a domain other than the one visited by the user, therefore by third parties, independent data controllers; you must, therefore, refer to their information on the processing of personal data.

2. Other technologies similar to cookies

It is possible to implement technologies similar to cookies, aimed at storing and retrieving information related to the user's device and its use, such as 'pixel tags' (also known as 'web beacon' or 'tracking pixel'). These are small graphic files inserted on a web page, in combination with a cookie, for the collection of information related to the use of a web page. Pixel tags can be used for various purposes such as analyzing the use of websites, monitoring and reporting on advertisements and personalizing advertising and content.
